So I just finished up working on Speed Racer, and in the process, I got an update to my reel. Not a complete overhaul, but new work is always good to replace the old…
So Since I’ve moved out to California from Minnesota, I’ve worked on a few projects now, and have been attempting to make my foray into the world of Visual Effects for feature films. So far it’s been working out pretty well, Below are three promo’s for the films I’ve been working on in chronological order. The first is technically a miniseries for HBO and won’t be shown in the cinemas, but it’s my foray into film work, so I’m pretty much considering it a film credit on my resume. That being said, here’s the list. Each is followed by it’s respective trailer ala YouTube.

Well, with another move, this time from Santa Maria to L.A., and a new job, I felt like it was time to update the look of my website again. I felt like going for a bit cleaner look, less links and calendars, and more portfolio. I got to say, it’s refreshing to come home to a new page. Hope you like it too.
So this commercial is not necessarily a recent project, it was finished about four or five months ago, It’s due to bureaucratic reasons that it hasn’t been posted until now. So enjoy the show, it’s fast and short. If you’re curious what I did, then i’ll tell you, matchmoving, modelling, texturing, and lighting, with a light bit of comp work.
A very short, simple to the point tutorial on how to project a texture reference directly on your sculpt in Zbrush 3. Enjoy!

I must admit, that after about 15 minutes, I had fallen in love with this upgrade. This is what an upgrade should be… They didn’t do any major overhaul to anything that didn’t work, and they took features from other sculpting programs and threw them in to the update. Totally awesome. After an hour or so, this is what I had…
So upon someone’s request, I made a quick, intro to Boujou tutorial. It isn’t anything too exiting at this point, more of a primer to 3d tracking if anything. I plan on doing a more in depth tutorial as soon as I get some footage that is appropriate for a tutorial. So basically I need to shoot some really bad footage. :C) If you’ve ever opened up Boujou and successfully used it, then feel free to check back when I have the more advanced tutorial posted. Click on the image for the 188mb rar. The tutorial runs roughly a half hour that is non-refundable.

So remember a while back when I said there would be another Glumpers update? Well ladies and gentlemen, this is it. The one a few of you maybe in the back of your mind, have been waiting for. In all of it’s glory, The glumpers episode 2, or 3, or whatever it is at this point. The reality of it is, this is the last version of the Glumpers that i’ll be posting on my site. If you want more, or to keep updated, you can go check it out over at MAKE’s website or over at Glumpers.com!
Well, I have officially moved to California, have a job here, and love the weather. I was just looking at my site and realized that I needed a better way to organize my still pictures/renders/sketches/ect. And so I installed a plugin called NextGEN Gallery by ALEX RABE. It’s one of those nice, clean looking gallery managers for any of you out there using wordpress. I think it’s pretty slick, and will be changing over most of my gallery-ish stuff on this site to that format. If you want to check out what it’s going to look and act like, check out my Photography page. Thanks for being patient with me while some pages remain in the old style while I do maintenance. Hopefully I can get some new work up on here in the process. ;C)
